How Does Syntasso Kratix Enterprise Integrate with Cortex?
Syntasso Kratix Enterprise (SKE) acts as the platform orchestrator between Cortex and your infrastructure layer. SKE connects to Cortex via the Cortex API and, once configured, dynamically creates and manages Workflows based on the Promises defined in your platform, keeping Cortex in sync automatically as your platform evolves.
Kratix Promises are the core abstraction. A Promise defines a platform capability, such as a database, CI/CD pipeline, or Kubernetes cluster, as a self-service API. It encapsulates validation, provisioning, policy enforcement, and Day 2 lifecycle management into a single, governed contract between platform and development teams. When surfaced in Cortex as Workflows, developers can request and manage those resources directly from the portal, without ever touching YAML or kubectl.
SKE also automatically registers and updates entities in Cortex, representing the Kubernetes resources it manages, so your service catalog reflects the real state of your platform, not a snapshot from six months ago.
